The Prophecies of Kila Vas

Type: In-Universe Historical/Religious Text (Full Text) Author: Perry Jones (creator-provided detail, uploaded document) Status: Canon (confirmed by creator)

A separate, dedicated cycle of six sequential visions attributed to Aa Konta, prophesying the entire arc of Kila Vas's founding and growth — from a small fishing village through conquest, into a sprawling metropolis, and finally into a spacefaring civilization with orbital habitats. See Prophecies of Aa Konta for the main Wetrock-focused prophecy cycle.

Vision 1: The Fishing Village

"I stand upon a mountain. I look north across a great sea. To the east, at the foot of the mountains, a village is born. Here, men of the families fish. The women tend to children, the children play. A woman weaves clothes for her family.

Boys watch over their goats on the sides of the mountains. A father is angry at his son. The goats have eaten all the green plants and his father tells his son, now they must move to another mountain farther from home. It will take many days to travel with the flock to this mountain where the grasses are green and then to travel to their home in the village. The mother watches her husband and sons as they travel to the farther mountain. She is happy when after many days they return."

Vision 2: The Village Behind Walls

"The mountain shakes and quivers. I awaken from sleep. Below me the village of fishers grows. The people of the desert come to sell their wares and buy water, tents, coffee, tea and food from the village of the fishers. People are happy. From their wealth the village builds walls. All people are safe, content and happy within the walls. Children play, puppies play, girls dance. Women moan as babies are born. The village grows large as many seasons pass."

Vision 3: The Conqueror Who Set Time

"A cloud gathers to the north, along the shore. The people of the village fear this cloud. It becomes a powerful storm. A man is seen within the storm, he is tall, dark and angry. He is very stern. In his hand he holds a staff. He points his staff at the walls of the village. The storm rages against the walls and the stones tumble to the ground. He and his warriors enter the village. The man places a crown on his head. Now he is happy and the village becomes happy again. The man sets time."

✅ Identified: this vision matches Ejon Krino's historical conquest of Kila Vas (then a Kaolsan settlement) almost exactly — his conquest became one of three events used to align the Calendar Accord of 1888, and its date now serves as the epoch point (January 1, Year 1) of the modern calendar era. "The man sets time" is a striking, precise match to Krino's role as the calendar's literal epoch-setter.

Vision 4: The Growing Metropolis

"The mountain quivers with anger. It nearly shakes me off. I stand. Below me the village of fishers grows. Snakes of black lead through the village. The village grows over the walls and continues to grow, it grows beyond the horizon north and east into the desert.

Slowly the village grows south. Many homes are built all around me. Homes of brick and rock and mud. As the village grows to the south, it leaves the mountains behind and enters a great forest. Men fell the trees to build homes as large as the first village. In the desert, men gather strange stone. This stone is like the sky; you can hold it and see your hand on the opposite side. They use this stone to build towers that reach to the sky. Many families live within these towers. Iron birds carry men across the desert, over the mountains and across the seas."

Vision 5: The War That Crossed Wetrock

"I stand among the waters. Palm trees cover me with shade. To my left the village of fishers has grown beyond the walls. Many angry people of all nations are here. They are very busy. They work in many long houses. They hammer iron to build chariots and iron birds. They fill the bellies of the birds with iron eggs. The iron birds soar high over the heads of their enemies. The eggs fall upon the enemies and burst into flames. Many men die. The enemy are the men who crossed Wetrock, they are a large and mighty army. Who can withstand them? But the men of the village, gathered from many nations do.

I look ahead to the water. Many large canoes are here, built of iron. Iron canoes. In their bellies they hold much food, iron, men and products of many nations. The men carry it all into the long houses where there they build iron horses, iron arrows and iron eggs. The men shoot the iron arrows into the sky to kill the iron birds. The arrows flare into flame and many iron birds die.

It is dark and horrible. Why do I see such visions?"

"The enemy who crossed Wetrock" strongly suggests this depicts a war originating from the Shapas Desert side of the continent (the Wetrock/Aa Konta homeland) invading the coastal city that grows from the fishing village — worth cross-referencing against established war history once a candidate conflict is identified.

Vision 6: The Far Tomorrow

"I stand above the world. I stand in the blackness. The sun is bright beyond the brightest day. Below me I see the village of the fishers. It has grown to cover much land. It is bright with light of many colors. Many men live here. Peoples of many nations live here. The towers of strange glistening stone are filled with many families. Many languages.

Iron houses float in the sky below like leaves upon a pool. People live in these houses in the clouds. I look up. Strange iron houses float beside me in the black. People are happy in these houses. People play and live here. I don't understand. A man of light appears, he tells me this is the far tomorrow. He says people here are the same as my people. They live, they die, they have families, they love, they get angry, they become friends again. Some people will war against other people far away across the black.

He says people are always people. We live, we die. We marry and love our wives. Babies are born. He says all people hope to be happy, to be content with their wives and families, to live long lives in peace and happiness, but for some, only anger and darkness awaits. For these, they make war against each other and against many families and many nations. Much blood is spilled until they die or their anger subsides or those who follow their ways learn new ways; ways to peace and love, health and happiness."

"Iron houses float in the sky... like leaves upon a pool" and "strange iron houses float beside me in the black" describe both atmospheric platforms and orbital space stations — matching Kila Vas's eventual status as a major spacefaring hub.

Worldbuilding Significance

This is the first in-universe primary-source account of Kila Vas's full founding arc — from a small fishing village through conquest, growth, and total transformation into a spacefaring civilization — and it directly identifies Ejon Krino's conquest with striking precision, independently corroborating already-established canon about the Calendar Accord's epoch date.

Open Questions

  • Which historical war "crossed Wetrock" to invade the growing city (Vision 5) is not yet identified against established war history.
  • The precise chronological gap between each vision (how many years/generations pass between them) is not specified.
