Aa Konta

Type: Character — Historical Figure / Prophet Pronunciation: "ah-ah, con'-tah" Lifespan: 165 AD – c. 230 AD Status: Canon (published) Source: Prophecies of Aa Konta

Overview

A desert shaman, mystic, healer, and peacekeeper of the Gherallis tribe, part of the now-extinct Kaolsani people native to the Dielvan Wac Desert and Shapas Desert of Maf. Renowned for a set of prophetic visions describing events far beyond his own technological era — imagery modern readers can recognize as oil derricks, railroads, automobiles, tanks, aircraft, and the arrival of outside colonizers.

The Prophecies (summary — see full text)

✅ Full verbatim text of all visions is now preserved on Prophecies of Aa Konta (11 visions plus 2 of uncertain placement) and The Prophecies of Kila Vas (a separate 6-vision cycle prophesying that city's founding). This summary remains below for quick reference.

Aa Konta's visions consistently use "iron" imagery to describe technology he has no framework for:

  1. A vision of an armed encampment near Wetrock, with a man consulting strange, colorful written documents unlike any parchment Aa Konta knows
  2. An "iron tower" drawing "black blood" from deep underground near an "iron goat" that bucks rhythmically — reads as an oil derrick/pumpjack
  3. Men arriving with "iron horses and camels," building "iron towers" across the desert to dig for the same "black blood"
  4. A vision of a canyon of diamonds and colored stones (the Gherallis and other tribes already trade these) being mined by outsiders, who ship the stones away via a smoke-belching "iron horse" running on rails — believed in-universe to reference either Arkanzaia or Kranmor Canyon
  5. A vision of a "great iron bird" that runs down a long path before leaping into flight and disappearing into the sky
  6. A dream-vision in which Aa Konta experiences being a woman assisting at a childbirth, with two masked figures in blue robes present
  7. A final, longer vision: Wetrock runs dry; a violent iron storm sweeps from the east, destroying "chariots" with fire and lightning; a pale-skinned man leads the storm's followers on a months-long journey west to a "northwestern sea," where he founds a new settlement — after which Wetrock's waters are prophesied to flow again

Additional visions not in the original published article — his father teaching him "the path of the brave," a vision of shared humanity seen from orbit, the spirit of Wetrock itself speaking (instructing that no temple be built there), and an extended vision of himself as a frail old man cared for by a granddaughter and a maiden named Ta'ula — are preserved in full on Prophecies of Aa Konta.

Cross-Reference — Likely Connection to LMT/Jonesboro Lore

Strong candidate match, not yet formally confirmed: Prophecy #7's description of a pale-skinned outsider leading a journey to a "northwestern sea" to found a settlement closely parallels the Perold Jones storyline from the ChatGPT export material — his 1927–1935 westward exodus with the "Jonesboro Posse," ending at an unpopulated coastal region. The "iron chariots," oil derricks, and railroads in the earlier visions also align with the LMT-sponsored 1919–1920 resource expedition into the Shapas Desert described in that same material (oil, gold, silver, diamonds, later uranium).

Also notable: The Kaolsani people's name closely resembles "Kaolsan," the extinct language from which the rogue AI Kas-Do ("Superior Man") drew its name in the ChatGPT export material. This may not be a coincidence — worth confirming whether Kaolsani = Kaolsan, or a deliberate echo/derivation.

Open Questions

  • [FLAG] Confirm whether the "pale-skinned man" of Prophecy #7 is meant to be Perold Jones. If confirmed, this directly dates/places the Jonesboro founding relative to Aa Konta's timeline and the Shapas Desert prophecies.
  • [FLAG] Confirm whether "Kaolsani" (Aa Konta's people) and "Kaolsan" (source language of the Kas-Do AI's name) are the same people/language.
  • Prophecy #6 (the childbirth/gender-swap dream) doesn't yet connect to any other established material — flag for future context.
  • Aa Konta's dates (165–230 AD) use "AD" — worth confirming how this relates to Maf's confirmed Earth-like calendar system (see timeline notes) and whether Aa Konta predates the arrival of the Ark Royal colonists by many centuries, implying the Kaolsani are an indigenous Maf civilization rather than descendants of Earth colonists.
