Aa Konta (pronounced "ah-ah, con'-tah"), a desert shaman of the now-extinct Gherallis tribe of the Kaolsani, lived c. 165–230 AD, native to the Dielvan Wac Desert and Shapas Desert. Presented as a set of his recorded prophecies, sourced from an engraving on a stela near Wetrock.
- A vision near Wetrock of an armed encampment; a man displays strange, colorful documents unlike normal parchment to other warriors and adds markings/colors of his own. Wetrock is described: an egg-shaped, ~5ft rock at an escarpment base, kept continuously wet by dripping water.
- A vision of an "iron tower" like a tent frame, several men tall, with an "iron goat" at its feet that bucks rhythmically, drawing "black blood of the desert" up from deep below through a narrow well — reads as an oil derrick/pumpjack.
- Men arrive with "iron horses and camels," build "iron towers" across the desert, and dig for the same "black blood."
- A vision of a canyon of diamonds/colored stones in the north (which the Gherallis and other tribes trade for jewelry), being mined by outsiders who ship the stones away via a smoke-belching "iron horse" pulling many "iron chariots" along "iron poles" planted in the sand — i.e., a mining railroad. Editorial note in the article says this is believed to reference either Arkanzaia or Kranmor Canyon.
- A vision of a "great iron bird" that runs along a dark, wide path before leaping into flight and disappearing into the sky.
- A dream-vision: Aa Konta assists at a childbirth while experiencing being a woman, wearing a blue robe; a masked man in a matching blue robe is present and hands the baby to the mother.
- A final, longer vision: Wetrock runs dry. A violent "iron storm" gathers in the east and sweeps west, growing more powerful, with lightning destroying many "chariots." A pale-skinned man leads the storm's followers on a "iron chariot," sweeping past Wetrock and gathering the desert's riches and "black blood," then rides for many months until reaching a "northwestern sea," where he establishes a new home — prophesied to be followed by Wetrock's waters flowing again.
Closing note: Aa Konta was renowned as mystic, shaman, healer, and peacekeeper. His tribe, the Gherallis, were nomads believed to have traveled across the Shapas Desert and into forests south of a "great river," reaching its banks.
