Overview

Officially called "thoroughfares," these are streets running below Kila Vas's surface-level streets — prevalent only in the downtown areas of the city. As wide and large as surface streets, thoroughfares are brightly lit and air-conditioned (surface streets can reach 110°F+ in summer), designed primarily for pedestrian traffic, though trams and automated vehicles use two central lanes.
