Overview

Kila Vas is the widely-acknowledged "Sports Capital" of explored space — home to traditional Earth sports, futuristic sci-fi sports, and several games found nowhere else in known space. In a city built from an extraordinary diversity of cultures and species, sports serve as the city's great unifying force.

Professional Wrestling ("K-VR")

Kila Vas's biggest sports draw, much like its Earth counterpart, is more carefully-scripted entertainment spectacle than competitive sport. Wrestlers ("Gladiators of the Ring") perform in massive arenas seating hundreds of thousands, with holographic effects and elaborate hero-vs-villain storylines that blur sport and theater.

Casino Sports Betting

Nearly every casino in Kila Vas operates a sports book room — from intimate lounges to full arenas (e.g., The Starburst, Orion's Fortune), with holographic screens broadcasting games live from across multiple galaxies, AI or remotely-projected commentators, and real-time betting down to the granularity of individual plays ("will he shoot from the corner or the three-point line?"). Despite persistent rumors, no casino has ever been proven to manipulate a game's outcome — the Peacekeepers enforce strict integrity oversight, with license suspension/revocation as the penalty for confirmed manipulation.
