Overview

Ros (pronounced with a long "o") is a militant, aggressive nation northwest of Peplle, nestled at the base of a mountain range. Its last war, fought roughly 30 years before the narrative's point, captured huge swathes of territory from neighboring nations. Many in Peplle regard Ros as a real and growing threat. ⚠️ The creator described the desired tone as comparable to "Germany in the 1880s" — a creative reference for atmosphere, not a literal in-universe claim.

The New Chancellor

A newly-risen Chancellor seemed intent on making his mark, rumored to be recruiting to enlarge Ros's army. Shortly after, he was assassinated by members of his own party, who were quickly captured and hanged after a brief tribunal. As of the narrative's point, no successor has been named, and rumors swirl about who will take power next.

Connection to Maf's "World War 1"

Ros's aggressive rebuilding under its (now-deceased) new Chancellor is tied to the eventual outbreak of Maf's own "World War 1" — a historical event distinct from the already-documented World War 3 (1976–1987). Per the creator, at this point in the narrative "WW1 is nearly 40 years away" — placing it roughly 4 decades after the scene in question, though the precise calendar year is not firmly established.
