Overview
A Starfleet cruiser that competed in the first Shoot-Out round of 2014 — a joint Confederation naval exercise in the Outer Karsyn Expanse. Aegis Prime embodied Starfleet's "Deterrence Through Distributed Presence" doctrine of the era: wide formation spacing, confidence in shields and range, and a bridge culture that treated aggression as competence. It was decisively outmaneuvered and disabled by a coordinated, tightly-formed opposing fleet, finishing the round in 4th place — the high-water mark Starfleet would repeatedly fail to match in subsequent rounds.
