Content (close paraphrase, unfiltered)

During Training Tracks, players respawn in a similar ship outside a station. Each Track has 3 basic scenarios, all required to complete the Track. Upon completing all 5 Tracks, Starfleet Captains receive a cruiser upgrade; all other players receive no ship upgrade.

From this point, all non-Starfleet-Captain players must buy ships, except a free corvette hull (no weapons/upgrades/specialty items included) available on request from the nearest friendly station after death/ship destruction — those must be repurchased and refitted.

On character death, consciousness transfers to one of 3 starting clones. Players designate clone location(s) — one or several. Clones require extensive facilities (clone vats specifically) to store without damage. Players start with 3 clones; more can be purchased on the Market. Bodily enhancements are lost on death unless already installed on an existing clone — except the NetCom neurochip, automatically installed on every clone and at every person's birth.

After the 5 Tracks, players may play their role or freely. Making money requires completing Tasks, Missions, Quests, Epic Arcs, or open Contracts listed on the Market. To get a Contract, access the Market's Contracts menu; many are free, some cost a fee. Requesting a Contract usually assigns it immediately; it becomes unavailable to others unless the claiming player fails it. All Contracts carry an award, paid on completion and return to the issuing location.

Contracts may be created for any purpose: bounty, assassination, mining, trading, exploring, FPS, industrial, business, espionage, fishing, farming, trophy hunting, stealing property/ships, raiding a base/station, pirating an area, capturing a mine/asteroid/planet/moon/station/ship, research, bribing officials, etc.

A Bounty Contract may only target a player who has wronged the creator (injury, property/ship damage, theft of property/territory) — restricted to Level 3+ players or NPCs under the same restrictions. An Assassination Contract may only target a Level 5+ player or NPC; no other creation requirements, but the award must be 1,000,000+ credits (ships, weapons, equipment, Skill Books, or Skill Points may substitute for or combine with credits).

Players may buy any Market item and resell it (Market or Contract) without a Production and Sales License. Players may also Research and create a Blueprint via a Blueprint Contract — the finished Blueprint delivers to the Contract Maker. To mine without a Production and Sales License, complete Mining Contracts or buy the $5 Plesorus Mining Frigate.

Starfleet Captains automatically respawn at their Fleet Starbase (if MACOFS) or other designated locations for other starnations. Starfleet provides as many clones as necessary and rebuilds/reassigns a replacement ship with all the weapons/systems/upgrades of the destroyed one — but any cargo aboard is lost.

To earn a livable income, players need a Game License. License costs range from $1 (Table License), $5 (Plesorus Mining Frigate), $25 (Restaurant License), up to $250,000 for the Ultra Game License.

The Ultra Game License includes: 3 Tier 7 Licenses (Banking License, Casino License, buy 12,544 square kilometers in Kila Vas), 4 Tier 6 Licenses (Hotel, Buy a Small City), 4 Tier 5 Licenses (Starship Construction Company License, Construction Company License, buy 12,544 square meters), 5 Tier 3 Licenses (Starport License, Building License, buy a Solar System, create a Solar System), 3 Tier 2 Licenses (Production and Sales License, Buy a Building), 4 Tier 1 Licenses (Restaurant License, Engineering and Research Company License, Buy a Planet).

Players pay License Holders to use, rent, or buy their properties or manufactured items. The Tier 8 (Ultra) License holder may sell, rent, or trade any subordinate licenses it includes. The Tier 4 (StarBuilder License) holder may NOT sell, trade, or rent any subordinate licenses it includes. Income for a License Holder is expected to be commensurate with the License's cost.
