Centaurs

Overview

Centaurs were formerly the dominant race across the northern part of the continent, but centuries of war with humans depleted their numbers. Today, roughly 90% of centaurs live on two large islands to the northeast of the continent — where only a handful of humans live. A large centaur population also lives in Patqun, alongside isolated communities scattered across the northern continent ranging from as few as 5 to over 1,000 members.

Appearance

• Men: 5.5 to 6.9 feet tall
• Women: 4.8 to 6 feet tall
• Thick, wool-like hair coats their horse-half; their human half is usually covered in thick human hair, except for the hands and face
• Wear tunics and clothing over their human torso

Culture & Relations with Humans

Not a primitive people — centaurs live alongside humans in some areas, though they generally congregate in their own community areas. There have been no wars between humans and centaurs for over 200 years; today, centaurs are welcomed into human areas and humans into centaur areas.
