Overview

Enigmatic host and anchor of Tonnabrae Media's "Kila Vas Nightly News." Strong, intelligent, aloof, and reserved — coworkers privately say "Tan doesn't play well with others." A tough, demanding perfectionist who holds himself to the same exacting standard he demands of others.

Personality & Style

Rather than sticking to Kila Vas's near-regulatory standard of "objective news reporting," Thanton frequently editorializes — speculating on the forces behind news events and their likely ramifications. He's usually right, which has earned his broadcast a devoted following among the city's power brokers, and made him a sought-after informal consultant for police, investigative journalists, and other media organizations. Civil but rarely warm; his rare flashes of anger (a deepening voice, hardening features, a drop to near-whisper) are memorable enough that few who've experienced one want a repeat.
