Overview

The Durin College of War offers a single major — "War" — divided into a range of specialized courses: Art and Science of Warfare, Military Leadership, Naval Warfare Studies, and others in a similar vein.

Curriculum

Structured 50/50: half classroom, lab, and wargaming instruction; half field exercises, grounding the material studied in real-world conditions.

Reputation

Durin gathered material and historical data from 3 continents — Norihing to the east, plus 2 continents to the west — making it the largest repository of war, warfare, and military- related material on the planet.

Notable Alumni

Perold Jonas (having already changed his name from Perold Jones upon arrival in Janast — to distance himself from his family/LMT, and to blend in with the local populace, among whom "Jonas" was a common surname) attended Durin from 1940 to his matriculation in May 1944, graduating 3rd in his class. He received a commission of 2nd Lieutenant from the College itself on the same day, and was admitted to the Janastian Army the next day, transferring his College commission directly to the Army.
